SCIENCE AND ART

IMG_0443_edited.jpg

Danesh Ashouri is an interdisciplinary artist based in Basel (Switzerland) and Freiburg (Germany). This website presents a collection of created artworks by Danesh, where the medium varies from drawings to paintings, sculptures to installations, and conceptual works to the most recent technological developments in the field of neural implants.

Danesh received his Ph.D. degree in biomedical microtechnology from IMTEK-Uni-Freiburg, where he currently investigates novel technologies to help patients and clinicians better understand and tackle neuropsychiatric disorders. In a joint effort, this website tends to trigger dialogues by confronting Danesh's artistic world with his scientific background to pinpoint the unknowns about the field of neural implants.
